I bought this 1965 Alaskan and 1965 Chevrolet truck in late 2006 from the original 93 year old owner. The gentlemen was a retired forest service employee and loved to camp and fish in his Alaskan. The camper has never been off the truck since it was installed in 1965 and was kept inside when not in use.
The truck is a 3/4 ton equipped with a 283 V-8, 4-speed, power steering and brakes. The truck has about 30,000 miles and still wears its original paint and interior. The Alaskan camper itself is like new inside and out and completely original. We flew to Calgary and drove it home to Kentucky passing through Banff and Glacier National Park in early winter.......... No problem.
