1947 Great Western

1947 Great Western

The first time I saw a picture of a Great Western was at a Rally in Florida in 2003. I was absolutely blown away by the look and design. I had never seen anything like it and it looked to me like it came from a Buck Rogers movie. Well 5 years later I was able to purchase one in Los Angeles, CA only the 3rd one found so far. I have been told it was designed by Frederick C. Hoffman who also designed the Aeroflite. They definitely do have some similarities.

The trailer will need total restoration, however the body is good, and the stainless steel kitchen is all there including the stove and ice box.

One unique feature of this trailer is that two people can sleep on the roof. I tried it in Yellowstone on the way home and it was pretty comfy.

This trailer when finished will be a real show stopper...............check back soon.
