I bought this 1934 Hammer Blow in October of 2003 from a fellow trailer collector in Auburn California. Known as the Honey Moon it was built by the husband for him and his wife (shown below) to travel the country after they got married in 1935.
The trailer is a home built, using parts and plans supplied by the Hammer Blow Tool Co. The body is masonite with a canvas roof. Very few masonite trailers survive today because they did not hold up well in adverse weather conditions. Other than being repainted in the Hammer Blow colors, the trailer remains unrestored and completely original.
Many items inside are mementos from their honeymoon, as are the decals from the places they visited on their trip. This is the oldest trailer I have in the collection and is a true time capsule.
